But I am having trouble with Steam, iTunes and LibreOffice making browsing/writing far more difficult. Browsers like Chrome and Firefox are completely fine and so are a few other programs.

In certain programs my touchpad is scrolling ridiculously fast with two finger scrolling, even at minimum scroll speed, but in other programs it is completely fine.

The laptop is only a few months old but this has been a problem since I have got it. I am using a Lenovo Z50 with Windows 8 and the touchpad software is an Elan Smart-pad.
